Resolution to divest from Israel

On Monday, September 16, 2024, Local 3005 hosted a Special Membership Meeting. As per the Constitution, the meeting was called for by a petition signed by approximately 60 members. This meeting was attended by approximately 138 members in good standing, of whom 92% voted in support of a motion to post the following statement to the website:

“Local 3005 supports a statement of divestment of NYCERS pensions from all Israeli bonds, securities, and holdings in industries that fund and profit from the ongoing genocide in Palestine.”

Local 3005 stands in solidarity with all its siblings and reminds all its members of the power of one’s voice.
