Special Membership Meeting
"Local 3005 supports a statement of divestment of NYCERS pensions from all Israeli bonds securities, and holdings in industries that fund and profit from the ongoing genocide in Palestine”
On Monday September 16, 2024, Local 3005 hosted a Special Membership Meeting. As per Constitution and called for by petition of the membership approximately 60 members signed petitioned for this meeting. This meeting was attended with approximately 138 members in good standing and with 92% of those in attendance voting in support of and a motion to post the above statement.
